Overview - Home Movie Studio Setup

You have chosen a great time to make home movies. Components are easier to put together AND cheaper. These video tutorials will get you started quickly, and with ease.

On each tutorial, you will see a Notes & Tips section below the video. Notes & Tips contain additional information that can facilitate your movie making learning curve. I often share my experience there and short cuts or tips that I use.

Home Work

  • If you don’t own a Mini-DV camcorder yet, start asking your friends and family what they use and ask them how they like it.
  • Create a workspace for your movie studio where you can plug your camcorder without risk of getting knocked over.
  • If you can, have a dedicated home movie PC so your kids aren’t loading their games and downloading what-nots from the web to your PC.
