Upload your Video on the Web
There are several web sites that will host your movie for free. The most popular is YouTube.com which is what you’ll see on the video tutorial below.
YouTube.com is not my first choice, though. My first choice is www.blip.tv. The same video uploads much quicker in blip.tv AND show much higher quality. Both YouTube and Blip.TV are free.
By the way, before you post your movie on the web, you need to have saved it on your hard-drive in a web-friendly format. If you have not watched the video on how to save your movie into a web-friendly file first, please click here.
Watch the video tutorial below on uploading your video to YouTube. Uploading to other popular sites www.blip.tv (my favorite), www.vidilife.com, www.metacafe.com is a similar process.
NOTES
Sometimes it takes a few minutes before your video can actually be accessed by your friends and family. That’s common, don’t despair, you didn’t do anything wrong. Just wait a little.
Homework
- If you haven’t saved your finished movie in Movie Maker into a web-friendly video file (High Quality Video, Large setting), please do so now.
- Post your movie in www.youtube.com or www.blip.tv.
- Share your movie with a friend by emailing a link of your posted video.
- Pat yourself on the back. You’ve come a long way.
