I have never paid full price for my video camcorders. The web is such a competitive place, then there’s Costco, BestBuy, B&H Video, you should never have to pay full price for a video camcorder. If nothing else, get a free camcorder carrier bag out of it.

• A price comparison web site e.g. www.PriceGrabber.com
• www.Amazon.com - they are trustworthy, they have a no-hassle Return policy
• Your local electronics store such as Best Buy, Circuit City, Costco, etc.

A word of caution: as proud as I am that I have never paid full price for a video equipment, I do not look for the absolutely lowest price either. Especially if you find it on the internet, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. There are many fly-by-night internet operation that will offer you an rresistable price, then nickle and dime you for the lens cap, the strap, the delivery insurance…
